Cute Critter Week: Snoopy tutorial

Monday

Make Some Minions

This how-to make a minion tutorial was written for fondant but steps are exactly the same for cold porcelain.  Because we don't need to use edible products when working with cold porcelain, you can substitute regular felt markers, white glue for adhesive and broom bristles instead of vermicelli.

(Note: Graphic was found on vandagoes.blogspot.com.es/ but I don't think they are author.  I'd like to give author credit, so please let me know if you are author.)

How to Make Pokemon Pichu

This video shows us how to make a Pokemon Pichu sugarpaste fondant birthday cake decoration...but cold porcelain can also be used. The sugarpaste techniques are pretty much the same as working with cold porcelain, except you don't have to use edible glue

Wednesday

Winnie the Pooh, Step by Step

Today we have another excellent video demo from Marisol Romero, showing us, step-by step, how to make Winnie the Pooh as shown above, using cold porcelain.  Marisol is speaking Spanish in these 3 videos but, even if you don't understand what she is saying, you should be able to follow along easily. Every step is clearly shown.

Marisol currently has a contest to make this Winnie the Pooh in cold porcelain and win one of her premium cold porcelain how-to courses. Contest rules are explained on her website. Contest ends Feb.28, 2011.

Cute Tanpopo shows us how she models the cartoon
character 'Stitch' with cold porcelain.

Make This Cute Kitty

Another excellent 2-part video demo from Marisol Romero, showing us, step-by step, how to make the cute cartoon kitty shown above, using cold porcelain.   Marisol is speaking Spanish in the videos but, even if you don't understand what she is saying, you should be able to follow along easily.  Every step is clearly shown.  This would be a good beginner's project because of the character's simplicity!

You'll note that she lets some parts of the figure dry separately.  This makes them easier to handle when assembling figure.   Prevents squishing the uncured clay parts!!    White glue is used where needed to attach new clay to cured clay and in other places where there may be a weak join.

How to Make a Cute Minnie Mouse Ornament with Cold Porcelain

The lady (name unknown) in this 2-part video tutorial shows us how easy it is to make a Minnie Mouse keepsake ornament with cold porcelain. Mickey Mouse could be made the same way...but of course, he would not want a bow! ;-)

Each step in the process is clearly shown, so, if you don't understand her language, you should still be able to easily follow along.
